Malozi had started working for the Maryland school district 13 years ago in 2013, working as a special educator in the Bel Air School area and does a tremendous job at doing so for her students.
Q.When did you get into the school business?
A. I have been teaching for 13 years at the Bel Air High School District [Harford County Public Schools].
Q. What’s your role in the school?
A. [I am a] special educator for specific goals and extra support.
Unlike most common teachers that you run into getting ready for their classes, having their lesson’s all planned out for each period to have for the day, special educators provide a better insight and perspective on how to deal with school and classes that a student may have a hard time understanding.
Q. Do you like what you do and why?
A. Yes, because I enjoy being able to work with young adults to shape their future and setting them up for a good start.
She ensures that her students are able to pass their classes as long as they accept the help and use that to improve their performance in school.
Q. Who is your role model?
A. [My] dad, someone who always tried his best with anything all around.
A great role model that she spoke about from her life, similarly, a lot of students that have worked with her have a great head start to move kids up in the world.
