In week 4 of the 2025 NFL season, Ravens MVP Quarterback Lamar Jackson sustained a hamstring injury, which would knock him out of the game. Much to the Ravens fan’s dismay, Jackson’s hamstring kept him out of the following 3 games too, and missing your QB is a high cost to pay.
Without their leader at the helm, the Ravens record fell to 1-5 (W-L), with backup Quarterback Cooper Rush failing to get the job done. Old friend of the Ravens, QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley was signed to save the season. And against all odds, Huntley successfully led the Ravens to defeat the previously 4-2, now 4-3 Chicago Bears, elevating the Ravens to a record of 2-5. Their record places them at 3rd in the AFC North, under both the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, by 1 and 2 games respectively. With a win this week, and a Bengals loss, the Ravens slid into second place in the division, moving them that much closer to playoffs.
In week 9, The Ravens fell into the Thursday Night Prime Time slot for all the country to see, where they faced the similarly struggling Miami Dolphins, who were also coming off a surprise win in week 8. The difference maker, not only this week, but for the foreseeable future of the Ravens season was the return of Lamar Jackson. Jackson and the team continuously shut out the competition quarter after quarter, allowing only two field goals and zero TDs leading to an embarrassing loss for the Dolphins.
Jackson has finally overcome his Hamstring injury and looks to make a big impact on a struggling and injury riddled Ravens roster this week, helping the team secure a much-needed victory to help get the team back on the rails. Maybe now they’ll get back on track meeting their preseason expectations.
