Sunday, October 11th the Baltimore Ravens went up against the Los Angeles Rams at M&T Bank Stadium without Lamar Jackson, their lead quarterback. Jackson was sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Coach John Harbaugh stated that Jackson was unable to return to the last game and is still in recovery. His teammates hope for his full recovery in the process and express gratitude for Jackson himself.
The Ravens took on a devastating loss with a score of 3-17. This season is off to a rocky start for them, with only 1 win and 5 losses so far. On the other hand, the opposing team, the LA Rams, boasted 4 wins 2 losses so far.
Early in the game, the Ravens took an early 3-0, but when second quarter began the Rams tied it up with a 36-yard field goal, making it 3-3 at halftime.
As the Rams started to pull for the win, the Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers tumbled the ball, but Kyren Williams, running back for the Rams, made a crucial touchdown third quarter. Derrick Henry, running back, attempted to turn the game around but by then it was too late to pull off the win.
After the game Flowers apologized for his fumbling performance and chose not to speak to the media but to head to the locker rooms instead.
Henry also apologized for his fumble in the first quarter in the game; he expressed how hard it was to score a goal afterward.
Now, Jackson is set to return this week to the team. Let’s hope to see a turn around for the Ravens starting now, for the rest of the season.
