On October 3rd, 2025, Bel Air High School was packed with excitement as students gathered in the gym from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm for the school’s pep rally. The event was about celebrating Bobcat pride, introducing fall sports, and getting everyone ready for an awesome school year.
The rally kicked off with the introduction of all the fall sports teams. Football, cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, cross country, and golf all got their moment to shine. Students waved, clapped, and showed their support to their friends and peers.
After the sports introductions, it was time for the games. The first challenges include Limbo and Musical Chairs, where students and teachers competed to see who can bend the lowest or grab a seat the fastest. Later came Stuffed, where players tried to fit balloons into oversized clothes, and Blind Man’s Bluff, where one person is leading a blindfolded person through a course.
Between the games, the cheerleaders performed short routines to keep the crowd excited. Their stunts and chants got everyone clapping along. The cheer team kept the energy high throughout the whole rally, performing and keeping things enthusiastic and fun.
The crowd roared with laughter during Hungry Hippos, when players raced on scooters to scoop up as many balls as possible in their buckets. In Sticky Pick Up, players were covered in double sided tape by their teammates and then rolled around on the floor to collect as many playing cards as fast as they could in a set time limit.
The rally finished with a big showdown, the Blow-Up Race. Teachers and students raced through the inflatable course, running their way to the finish line while the crowd cheered loudly.
Health and Physical Education teacher, Miss. McDonough, thought that “the pep rally went pretty well and that everyone was engaged in it!” She said, “We knew a little more what to expect, and we picked games that would be easy to transition from one game to the other.” By the end of the rally, the gym was full of energy, laughter, and pride. The event brought together athletes, teachers, and students, showing what it truly means to be a bobcat.
