Wednesday, September 24th the Bel Air High School Field Hockey team went up against C. Milton Wright’s Mustangs with a score of 2-0, a tough loss for Bel Air and their first of the regular season.
But despite this there was great defense. Coach Megan Lukasavage shouted out Junior Emilyn Ryan and Senior Allison Keister for their defensive performance; it was on point and hard to match. Senior Amelia Mason “moved the ball great in the field,” said Lukasavage. Their defense and teamwork are what will get us through the rest of this season, which is coming to a close quickly. The game also included a moment of silence in memory of student Blake Elliot and in support of student Zach Griffin, who were gravely affected by a car accident last week.
Tonight, the team faces off with Liberty at 5: 30p.m in hopes to regain a win. Then, later tonight Varsity plays at 6:30 p.m. in their Senior night. Festivities begin at 7 p.m.
Monday night, the Bobcats team up against the Aberdeen Bald Eagles at Aberdeen. Hope you can be there to support the Bobcat seniors at one of these upcoming events.
