The Bel Air High School Girls’ Volleyball Team started their season off with double wins in-conference but a loss to Maryvale Prep 0-3.
The Varsity Team shut out Paterson Mill with a score of 3-0 on Tuesday, September 9. An interview with coach Amanda Bowden reveals that Junior Macie Kane’s “kills were on fire,” which helped secure the win.
Bowden expresses how the team worked together and did what they had to do to succeed, and everyone stood out in their own way. Unfortunately, the second game last week ended in a loss to Maryvale 0-3.
The season has only just begun, and while their game was a little rocky, Maryville was very competitive and a tough team to beat, as well. The Bobcats secured their next win against Joppatowne in a clean 3-0 sweep on Tuesday, September 16.
Come out to support both JV and varsity teams this week at their next game, today at home against rival C Milton Wright. Games start at 3:30 and 5:00 pm in the BAHS gym.
