The Conjuring: Last Rites will be the final chapter of Ed and Lorraine Warren cinematic journey confirmed by the Warner Brothers, the entertainment company releasing the movie.
This final film will focus on the Smurl Haunting, a Pennsylvania case investigated by the Warrens in 1986. Which concluded with Jack and Janet Smurl claiming they and their family have been traumatized by demons for the last 12 years. The rest of the details are still unknown, according to Radio Times.

This film will be directed by Michael Chaves, who also directed the movie, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The previous actors in The Conjuring will be taking on their last act of the roles of Ed and Lorraine Warren; Vera Farmiga as Lorraine Warren, and Patrick Wilson as Ed Warren.
A new horror film, Weapons, is set to be released in movie theaters on August 8, 2025. The original set date was supposed to be in January 2026, but the date got pushed forward to the summer of 2025.
