Jingle Bells Bring Holiday Spirit to Bel Air

Looking for local Christmas activities to do with family and friends? Bel Air offers plenty of holiday events for all ages to celebrate and get in the spirit!  

Winter Wonderland in Bel Air 

Visit Downtown light displays, nightly, November 30- January 6 from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. at the Armory Market Place. 

Bel Air will also hold complimentary Horse-drawn Carriage Rides on November 30, December 7, and December 14 from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Signups are available only in person at the Armory the evening you want to. Volunteers will then take names and assign times, asking groups to come back at their assigned time. The rides are for 10 minutes and hold up to four adults.  

Visit with Santa in front of the Harford County Courthouse on November 30, December 7, December 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  

 Live musical performances will take place on the same three dates from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Musicians will perform on stage at Fredrick Ward Armory Park.  

 Come to the Bel Air Winter Wonderland market for food, drinks, and gifts by local vendors, Saturdays 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., November 30 -December 14.  

 A Christmas-themed train garden display will be open (and free) November 30-December 14, Fridays 5:00-9:00p.m. and Saturdays 2:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. It will be displayed at Mt. Ararat Lodge on 136 E. Gordon Street.  

The Nutcracker 

Harford Dance Theater is hosting The Nutcracker at Harford Technical High School, December 6-8 at varying times. With impressive scenery, beautiful costumes and exquisite dancing, tickets are available online starting at $16.  

Christmas Parade 

On December 8, 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m., Bel Air will hold its 34th annual Christmas parade. It will begin down Main Street and end at Hickory Avenue. In Shamrock Park, there will be a bonfire and singalong at 4:15 p.m. with food trucks, cookies, and hot chocolate. Then, a tree lighting at 4:45 p.m. Expect stilt walkers and acrobats, local high school marching bands, costumed characters and mascots, dancers floats, and more.  

Holiday Open House 

Visit The Liriodendron on December 7, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. for a tour of the decorated mansion and special holiday treats. This will include arts and crafts vendors selling gifts and decorations, greenery/ arrangements for purchase, live music, drinks for sale from the Crossroads Bistro food truck, activities for kids, visits with Santa, and a Christmas raffle basket.
