At 6 p.m., Senior Team 1 played Senior Team 2, with Team 2 winning 24-6. Anna Kane had two touchdowns and Emerson Schiller had one; Lilia Dziedzic had two interceptions for Team 2. While on Team 1, Ally Mace scored the only touchdown. Team 2’s victory ensured they would be representing the Seniors in the showdown against the Juniors.

After the Senior game, the Juniors came to play. Although the Juniors put up a fight, the Seniors took them down, winning 18-12. Anna Kane scored all three touchdowns for the Seniors while Ava Tischler scored both touchdowns for the Juniors.

Everyone knows the quarterbacks need to be on their A-game. Senior quarterbacks for Team 2 were Emerson Schiller and Abigail Finley. The quarterback for the Juniors was Emma Duvall. Duvall felt that her Powderpuff experience was extremely fun, and “playing with all [her] friends was the highlight of the night.”

Juniors showed out in navy blue while Seniors were in pink. In the meantime, cheerleaders were full of excitement on the sides. Dylan Rowe, Benjamin Arevalo, Khalil Mobley, Dominic Gray, and Aidan Zajicek were some of the Junior cheerleaders while Ethan Dean, Benjamin Gaughan, Will Hall, Nathaniel Nitsch, Matthew Taylor, Grant Smith, Avery Lungstrom, Daniel Pena, Padriac Forbes, and Carlin Cucchiella represented the Seniors. When asked how hard the cheerleading routines were, Ethan Dean felt that practices “showed how difficult it was to actually do the things cheerleaders do,” but reiterated just how fun it was to try.

Coaches for the winning seniors were Jack Lowry, Yianni Makris, Julien Horton, Patrick Sullivan, Matthew Valente, Hunter Neal, Jason Gao, Mike Graham, Gary Mann, and Nathan Calamita! Coaches for the Juniors were Nathan Adams, Jon Gettle, Aaden Troast, and Garett Dipold.

The 2024 Powderpuff Game for Bel Air High School was a success this year, and everyone enjoyed cheering for their favorite Juniors and Seniors!
