The stage is set–the World Series will be the New York Yankees vs the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Game one of the series will be this Friday at 8:08 pm at Dodger Stadium.

After the Yankees closed out the Cleveland Guardians with Juan Soto’s walk-off home run in Game Five in the ALCS, the Dodgers finished the New York Mets with a Game Six win in the NLCS.

With key players in their lineup who helped them beat Cleveland (Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo), the Yankees hope to keep up their slugging to win their 28th World Series, their first since 2009.

With NL MVP favorite Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers also have key players in their lineup (Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez, Max Muncy, Enrique Hernandez, Freddie Freeman). The Dodgers are hoping to win their eighth world series, and first since 2020.  The Dodgers had the best record this season in the entire league. However, they still have a big hurdle to overcome in this matchup.

On September 19, Shohei Ohtani became the sixth player in MLB history to hit a 50/50. The Dodgers made the trade for Ohtani back in December. He completed this major milestone in his very first season with them. The Yankees Aaron Judge led the American league in home runs this season.

The World Series schedule is as follows:

Game 1: Friday, October 25th, 8:08pm

Game 2: Saturday, October 26th, 8:08pm

Game 3: Monday, October 28th, 8:08pm
