A club run by Mrs. Orth here at Bel Air High School has begun! Reverie is a club based on creating and organizing the school’s literary magazine.
Students at Bel Air can submit short stories, artwork, photography, and poetry to Reverie, and it will be edited and published to the magazine. If you aren’t interested in joining the club, you are still able to share your work and have it published!
Reverie is an English department- based club and contains contents elements of writing, editing, reading, and artistry. The interest meeting was Tuesday, September 24th in room C301. I spoke with Kennedy Johnson, a junior here at Bel Air High, who attended the first meeting. Johnson says, “They talked about Reverie’s definition and what it means. Not everyone has to submit things; they go over student submissions and anonymously vote on which ones should be put in the paper.”
Mrs. Christin Orth, faculty advisor, tells us more. “Reverie has been around since the 1970s, maybe even earlier; it’s had different names. We meet every Tuesday and give students feedback on their work and decide what to publish!”
Reverie has a lot to offer to the students of Bel Air High and allows many people to express themselves and share their work. If you are interested, talk to Mrs. Christin Orth in room C301!
