With the 2024-2025 NFL season kicking off with a win from Kansas City, the race for the Lombardi trophy begins.
Every NFL team has played their first game with week two underway. The reigning Super Bowl champions will fight to defend that title. With the biggest wins coming from the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Dallas Cowboys. The NFC North started with wins from Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago.
The Cowboys had a huge win over the Browns to start off the season. The Commanders and Giants both had tough losses last week to start the season.
The NFC South had a promising start from the New Orleans Saints, with a 47-10 win over the Carolina Panthers, along with the Bucs, beating the Commanders 37-20. The Falcons lost by a fourth down stop by the Steelers in a surprise twist, but came back the following week and shocked the Eagles.
The NFC West began with the 49ers securing a huge win over the Jets on primetime Sunday night. The Cardinals had a decent lead over the Bills, but ended up losing 34-28.
Finally, the AFC North, which contains the hometown Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and the Pittsburgh Steelers started off with an AFC Championship rematch. The Ravens ended up with a tough loss, and the only win in the division came from the Steelers. The Ravens are starting their season 0 and 2 for the first time in several years.
This week Thursday night features Jets/Patriots and the hometown Ravens face the Cowboys this Sunday, September 22nd at 4:25 pm EST.
