From March 14 to March 16, 2024, Bel Air FBLA State Qualifiers took a trip down to Ocean City, Maryland to compete in the official State competition, and we took home some major accolades. 

Prior to this year’s events, Bel Air has only had 2 members make it through States and advance to Nationals in FBLA’s existence, so expectations weren’t as high for this group of competitors. However, they completely knocked it out of the park, bagging 11 National placements in a multitude of categories. 

Serenity Wancowicz and Lauren Wessel won first place in Social Media Strategies, while Marissa Reiser, Meghan Davis, Abigail Finley, Isabella Lacerna, and Sophia Powell took home second place in Advertising, Hospitality and Event Management, Marketing, and Intro to Public Speaking respectively.  

Bo Edwards and Hetvi Shah took home third in Business Communication and Economics respectively. Madeline Davis took home fourth in Intro to Marketing, wrapping up our national placers.  

Other notable placements saw Isabelle Palmisano win sixth for Organizational Leadership, Abby Kern and Angela Camargo Sanchez won seventh for Business Communication and Intro to FBLA, and Kaylee Pererra won eighth for Intro to Event Planning.
