The new school year at Bel Air High School brings new first-year teachers. After graduating from the University of Maryland, we welcome Mr. Brown who is beginning his journey as an English teacher.
Brown expressed that he wanted his students to know, “English is so fun. English class teaches you about you. You can see yourself in stories. When you read a book, you can learn things about yourself that you can take with you into whatever field that you choose.” At a young age, he knew that his calling was English. Brown wants to dedicate his life to English and being a great English teacher.
Before continuing through to teaching, he explained that he had many good teachers, but one stood out to him the most. His favorite teacher was “My 9th grade Earth Science teacher Mr. McLeod. He was just fun, I loved going to his class. I thought you know a good teacher really can make a difference.”
Many students have expressed how they like Mr. Brown’s class because of his bright personality in the classroom. He is a great addition to our Bel Air staff. We welcome Mr. Brown as a new teacher and wish him success for the rest of his career! If you ever want to say hello to a new face, stop by to room C307!
