On Thursday, October 26, Girls’ Volleyball played against C Milton Wright for their senior night. Seniors Kayden Hardenbrook (#8), Brooke Hopkins (#20), Tia Pegler (#26), and Megan Schindhelm (#7), were honored for their dedication and drive to the Bel Air Volleyball Program. With this game being the last regular season game of the fall season, the Bobcats are officially in full playoff mode.
As the playoffs started and the regular season began to wind down, some coaches were asked about how their regular season went and how their playoffs are going.
Girls Soccer
Coach Micheal Friskey coached his Girls’ Varsity Soccer team to a 7-3-2 season in the regular season. When asked about the season, Friskey felt they “were really strong with leadership and had a fun time this year.” The girls’ soccer team goes on to play in the state semi-finals on Friday, November 3, at Mount Hebron.
Football
Coach Eric Siegel coached his Boys’ Varsity Football team to a 5-4 season in the regular season. When asked how this season went for the Bobcats, Siegel believes it was a growing year, and that the boys “have gotten better every single game as we progressed through the season.” The Bobcats go on to play their first playoff game on Friday, November 3, against Overlea, right here at Bobcat Stadium.
Golf
Coach Michael Mullen coached his Golf team to an amazing season, and when asked how this season compared to others, Mullen knew there were “a lot of ups and downs, depending on who showed up on a given day.” The Golf team is finished with their season, but they look forward to 2024.
Girls Volleyball
Coach Amanda Bowden coached her Girls’ Junior Varsity team to an undefeated season, while Coach Dave Simon led his Varsity team to an 8-7 season in the regular season. When asked how this season wrapped up, Bowden said it’s all been “very exciting. We went undefeated and it was super fun to be a part of and watch!” Bowden also feels that watching Varsity perform has been “fun as well, being that there were a lot of really close 5–set matches that were fun to be at and fun to cheer at.” The Varsity Bobcats go on to play their first playoff game on Thursday, November 2, against Patterson High School away.
