Last Thursday, October 5th, the Bobcats Junior Varsity football team played the Patterson Mill Huskies as a kickoff to the homecoming weekend. The Bobcats won with an 18-13 defeat, making fans across Bobcat nation excited for what is to come. When asked about the game, student Khalil Mobley said, “I think we did good, we have a lot of things to improve on like our linemen.” The team hopes to come back stronger this week than they were last. The Bobcats JV team made an excellent kickoff for the homecoming weekend festivities that were to come!
Last Friday, October 6th the Bobcats Varsity football team won with a 22-20 defeat against Paterson Mill High School. The Huskies scored the first touchdown of the game but missed the extra point making the score 6-0 with the Huskies in the lead. The Bobcats got the ball back after kickoff scoring a touchdown and getting the extra point kick scored by Julien Horton. When asked about the game, student Regan Merz said “The game was amazing! There were a lot of student section engagement.” Merz also said “the energy in the crowd was the best it has been all season!” During the Homecoming game halftime, the Homecoming Court and the marching band played their fantastic ensemble to the fans.
