The Bel Air Bobcats won their opening game against the Fallston Cougars on Friday, September 1, by a score of 22-21.
With 16 seconds left on the clock, the Bobcats scored a touchdown, making the score 21-20, but still in favor of Fallston. Instead of going for the extra point that would tie the game, the Bobcats went for a 2-point conversion and were successful, giving them the lead and the win by 1 point.
Student Julia Beyers said, “It was a very exciting game, but it was scary when we were down by 6 with 3 minutes left on the clock.” Once again, the Bobcats pulled off another amazing victory to start the season off strong and hope to ride the momentum throughout the season.
The Bobcats play next at home on Friday, September 8, against the North Harford Hawks. Look out for interviews at the game on our website and Instagram, along with more exciting Bobcat news to come!
