FBLA Returns for the 2019-2020 School Year

Future Business Leaders of America will return for the 2019-2020 school year here at Bel Air High School. The club will be run by Mrs. Smith for the first time. The club will meet once a month during the fall and winter months this school year.

FBLA has several essential goals for this new school year. The first goal is to do well in competitions. In FBLA, members may sign up in a specific business topic. They then can take a test or give a presentation based on that topic. If you score high enough compared to others with the same topic in regionals, then you can advance to the next round (states.) If you do well enough at states, then you can advance all the way to nationals with a chance to win the entire competition. FBLA looks great for colleges, especially if you are interested in going for a business-related area.

FBLA also wants to explore the community of Bel Air this year. The club hopes to create relationships with local small businesses to learn more about how they run their business. What is their business plan? How do they market themselves with so much competition? Having a real, hands-on experience should greatly help future business owners and employees that are in the club. FBLA has helped many people become great in the business field in the past. The organization hopes to continue the trend this year.

FBLA hopes as winter approaches that the club can announce regional winners once again here at Bel Air High School.
