Fun Snow Day Activities

Connor Ostadali

Greetings Bobcats! Today, I give for you some fun activities you can do at home when there is a snow day, and there is no school, or you have some spare time on the weekend.

The first activity is probably the most well-known one, building a snowman. Simply going outside and rolling up 3 different size balls and stacking them on top of each other to make a snowman can always be fun, since it’s not all that often we get snow here.

The next thing you can try is baking all kinds of foods. Maybe, you want to make a nice turkey or chicken dinner, or some pastries or other desserts, there are tons of recipes you can find all over the internet. If you are looking for some inspiration on what to bake, I have wrote about plenty of recipes to make in the past, so make sure to check them out!

Another thing you can do is go out and learn to snowboard or ski. Years back, I had a snowboard, but I really never go to use it for all that long, and I kept going down a big hill just trying not to fall over while descending. The feeling of sliding down a hill while you are stating up is actually really fun, and if you ever have the time to learn how to snowboard I highly recommend you do so.

If you are looking to just relax and spend some time with your family, one thing you can do is all sit around together and watch a movie you have been waiting to see or just any movie in general. My favorite movies to watch are the Pirates of the Caribbean series. If you haven’t seen any of those movies, I highly recommend you watch them. If movies are not for you, you can always play a fun board game instead. Monopoly is probably my favorite game to play, and I also recommend that you try it out as well.

Enjoy the rest of the winter season Bobcats, because you before you know it the spring time will be here and instead of being snow, it will just be showers of rain.
