Winter Movies I’m Excited For

Connor Ostadali, Feature Editor

Greetings Bobcats! Today, I would like to tell you about some movies that are coming out at the end of the year that I am really excited for, and maybe some of you are as well.

The first movie is Murder on the Orient Express. It is a mystery/crime film that takes place on a luxury train going through Europe. The movie is based on the original book by Agatha Christie, who is by far my favorite mystery writer, and is also very well known for the original book, “And Then There Were None” which I believe is one of the best books of all time. Johnny Depp, my favorite actor, is also starting in the film, and this time not as a pirate, but as a gangster among the 13 people involved in the mystery. The movie came out November 10th 2017, and is being shown in theaters everywhere. The run time is 1 hour and 54 minutes. Since it was written originally by my favorite author, and will star my favorite actor, you can tell I am really excited for this. Ever since I saw the trailer for the movie, I wanted to see it.

The next movie that I am excited for is the new Star Wars, Episode 8 The Last Jedi. This is the next episode in the series following The Force Awakens. I have always been a fan of the Star Wars movies since I saw the first one as a young lad. Additionally, it stills stars some of the original actors, such as Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), and even Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). I think that is so cool how the directors filmed the movie a couple of years ago so that they have Carrie reprising her role as Leia, before she past away last year. I’m sure many long time fans will think that is awesome as well. The movie is set to come out December 15th 2017, and you can buy tickets right now, if they are not already sold out, and I believe it is set to break the record of moves sales of all time. It has a run time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and I cannot wait to see it.

Happy Holidays Bobcats, and I hope you all enjoy time with your family this fall and winter, and I really hope you enjoy some good movies as well.
