The holiday season creates an abundance of spirit and joy, with its surplus of color and excitement that fills the chilly air. Throughout the month, people are able to experience a childlike wonder as they gather with others everywhere to enjoy its merriment. However, there are many other reasons as to why we all enjoy the holiday season.

Throughout the world, folks move from where their family and friends originate from for a new life, and as a result are forced to maintain long-distance relationships with their loved ones. The holiday season’s long breaks from work nationwide allow for them migrate back for a brief period of time, or gather in a central area, to bond with their acquaintances. Through a short meeting, they are able to reconnect, discuss their lives, and even meet new relatives that could have been born after their move.

The new year usually means renewed beginnings for many, with resolutions being a nationwide practice. As a result, individuals decide they can change their lives with a little determination to be what they consider better for themselves, and although some tasks seem difficult for many at first, the award-winning feeling of achieving and striving for a goal acts as their catalyst. In the end, those that meet their resolution to its end truly do change themselves in remarkable ways.

Giving is a central theme of the holidays, both with giving presents to relatives and companions and donations being placed everywhere for people to aid others in need. Though some refute their existence, no one can deny that the impact the characters have over society during the month of December, as crowds gather to meet the entities just for a brief photo or chat. Each year there is wonder throughout communities that is created by these beings, stirring up its own kind of enchantment.

Though unexpected change can be rather startling, during the holidays, change helps to brighten people’s days. From Halloween through the new year, individuals everywhere decorate the world with small trinkets that allow others to see the beauty in even the plainest parts of their everyday life. The holiday rhythms of carols fill buildings and though inescapable, definitely diverge from the normal mood of everyday life.
