The Fall and The Seasons

Connor Ostadali

What’s your favorite type of weather? Is it a nice hot summer day or a cold snowy winter? Is it spring showers pouring on May flowers, or leaves changing colors? Whatever the case is, everybody has a favorite season, but why do we have one? Why do some people prefer the chilling cold over the blankets of heat waves? It’s all just another factor that makes each and every one unique.

I love the fall. I think everything is great about it. I love the colors of the leaves that are constantly changing and the nice cool breeze drifting through the air. But, for some reason that I still cannot explain, I get very nostalgic during fall.

One theory that I have for this is that in the fall some major events happen. I mean, you go from a super-hot summer where the wind is gently blowing through the trees to a season of trees dying and the wind ripping off the leaves. Which sounds horrible, but never ceases to captivate us with the beauty of its changing colors.

School has also begun, and it is time to get back to the ol’ grind. Maybe it’s me seeing all of my friends I didn’t get to see over the summer again, and it brings back memories to last year. There are also so many scents that bring me back to years and years ago. One smell that I will always remember is the apple pie air freshener scent. The first time that my mom got the scent was when I was in fourth grade, and that smell always brings me back to that time. To me, it’s crazy how a certain scent can bring back a plethora of memories in just a few seconds.

Anyways, I could talk about smells bringing me back to certain times forever, but I won’t. The thing that I love about people is that everybody has their own opinion to everything they do. It makes each and every one of us special. The only person you have to deal with for the rest of your life is you. You will always have yourself to live with. Your personality is a part of life, just like the seasons. So now, Bobcats, I’ll ask you this. What’s your favorite season?
