End of Quarter Fright

End of Quarter Fright

Konnor-Ashley Randlett

It is that time of year again: the first quarter is coming to a close. Tests, projects, and the hopes of extra credit are piling up. This is it, the time to maintain that A or do everything you can to move up a few points. Have no fear, there are many ways to achieve your goal without losing your mind.

Whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, or that your goals are impossible to achieve, remember to breathe. Not your normal everyday have-to-breathe-to-live breath, but a deep breath and relax. It may seem like the end of the world by getting a B or C, but it really is not.

Here is the good news: it is only the first quarter. One down, and you still have three to go. You now know what did not work for you this quarter, what you need to improve, or what you did well and needs to be maintained.

“The next time you’re stressed: take a step back, inhale and laugh. Remember who you are and why you’re here. You’re never given anything in this world that you can’t handle. Be strong, be flexible, and love others. Always remember, keep moving forward.” – QuoteDiary.com

“Never stress out what you can’t control” – LiveLifeHappy.com

“Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer

“The only pressure I’m under is the pressure I’ve put on myself.” – Mark Messier

“Worry never robs tomorrow of sorrow, it only saps today of joy.” – Leo Buscaglia

“Smile. It changes your mood. It relieves stress. And it helps you stay positive.”  – Abhishek Tiwari

“The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.” – Sidney J. Harris

Everything will be okay, your grades do not define who you are as a person. Stress can be dissolved by your positive attitude. And please remember, your health is more important than any grade, test, or project. You can do it, Bobcats!
