4th Quarter Fright

As this school year is coming to an end, so is our motivation. Where people would get a head start on assignments, they are now procrastinating. We are tired and summer is so close, we can almost see ourselves tanning poolside, staying up late and sleeping whenever. The only thing between now and June 19, is school.

As our motivation decreases and our brains fill up to the brink with the information we have been learning since August 25, you just want to stop; but you can’t. In the upcoming weeks there are HSAs, tests, and of course the beloved finals. Now more than ever, we must take what is left of our motivation and apply it to school work.

As of May 6, there are 32 school days left, 45 days (including weekends) and 6 weeks left. In those days, teachers begin to worry that they may not cover everything they are supposed to so they may give more work, don’t complain; it’s weird to think that teachers have lives too and just like you, they want summer.

Students no longer want to wake up at six o’clock and do homework until eleven o’clock, everyone is feeling this. But if you stick with your schedule and stay ahead of your work load, very shortly it’ll June 19th and summer is here. Maintain the focus level you had at the beginning of each quarter, go above and beyond and appreciate the time you have in high school. You can do it, stick to it!

“No student ever attain eminent success by simply doing what is required of him: it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”
