Springing Into New Fashion Trends

Konnor-Ashley Randlett

Spring is rapidly approaching and you know what that means: new fashion trends for spring and summer. Although spring marks the end of closings and delays, snow, and air so cold you can see your breath, it also marks the end of some fun cold weather trends.

Trends that we saw in the fall included: an abundance of the color gold, a military style of dress, a quilted style of clothing, shear, black and white pieces, and the seventies style. Also seen on runway of 2014 was a folk style of dress, very artsy patterns that are bold and colorful, and leopard print.

The trends that appeared on the 2015 runway at Fashion Week was: the color khaki, a hippy free style of dress, jumpsuits, and denim, including pants, shirts and overalls. Other up and coming fashion trends for the upcoming season include: dresses made of delicate fabrics, nautical style, shiny leopard dresses, black and white pieces, more shear, mixed and matched outfits, mesh, simple print, bold red, feathers, and a ballerina style.

There you have it, the fashion trends that we will be seeing throughout the spring and summer. Not all of these trends will catch on, nor will all trends be seen throughout school hallways; some trends are made for the runways, not the hallways. All trends will be used as the inspiration for what will be seen hanging on the clothing racks.
