Following that game will be the New England Patriots playing the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro at 6:40 p.m. This game will not only determine who will be going to the Super Bowl, but also who the AFC Champions are.

The possible match ups for the Super Bowl are as followed:

  • New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks
  • New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers
  • Indianapolis Colts vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Super Bowl is a ginormous deal. Whether you watch it for the football, or the new and hilarious commercials, millions of people watch the Super Bowl. In fact, last year, Super Bowl 48 had 111.5 million viewers. That was the most watched television program in U.S. History.

Not only do people watch the Super Bowl for entertainment, but also for their own gain. Millions of bets are placed on the Super Bowl outcome. Last year, in Nevada alone, $119 million were placed on the two teams. This, too, was a record breaking number. Not to mention that a lot of households who host parties for the Super Bowl have ‘gambling pools’ that people place bets on.

The 49th Super Bowl will be held on Sunday Feb. 1, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. Whether you plan on watching the Super Bowl for the football, commercials, or because no one will let you change the channel, try to enjoy watching what could be the best game yet.
