It’s that time of year once again as the seniors feverishly prepare for the upcoming activities, such as the senior class trip, graduation, and prom. Prom night is a very important evening to many seniors, partly because of the stereotypical high school experience that they feel the need to entertain, and also because it is one of the last activities that they will do as a high school student.
When a girl gets asked to prom, a frenzy of activity begins, usually starting with choosing a prom dress that is flattering and unique. Some students will go out of their way to get the perfect dress, even if that means going far away and spending hundreds of dollars. It’s not all about the dress, however. It is about the experience.
Prom is supposed to be the highlight of your high school experience, it is one of the last times you will see everyone that you know in the same place, enjoying themselves and taking advantage of the evening. When choosing a dress, go for flattering, not fashionable. If you like the dress, but it just doesn’t work on your body, you probably should choose something more fit to your body type; you certainly don’t want to be uncomfortable on one of the most important evenings of your high school career.
