Having A Safe Halloween

Looking forward to Halloween this year? Excited to be that sneaky ninja, gorgeous princess, or horrifying monster? Walking around getting free candy is like a child’s dream come true! But have you ever thought of the dangers? For starters, it’s dark outside and even though most people are out trick-or-treating, there still may be traffic. It’s hard for drivers to see a long ways ahead of them at night, even with their headlights on. So before you cross any street, look both ways and make sure no cars are in sight because even if you see them, they might not see you.

Another thing to look out for is mysterious cars or people. With children roaming around, some with and some without parents, it’s the best time to abduct a child. Younger children are vey gullible and if a stranger was to come up to them and say: “I am giving out bags full of candy to kids. Just follow me,” a younger child would most likely believe him and follow to receive their “candy”. Even though trick-or-treating is more common in little kids then teenagers, a stranger could easily come up in a car and grab someone then drive away. Even if you think you’re stronger, a grown man could easily over power you.  For that reason, make sure that you go trick-or-treating with a group of friends.

Halloween is supposed to be a fun event for everyone. So dress up, scare some people, get scared by some people, and have fun.
