On Wednesday, April 12 Bel Air played one of their biggest rivals in baseball, North Harford. Although North Harford scored 5 runs, Bel Air outscored the Hawks 15-5. The Bobcats won by the mercy rule, and took home the win thanks to the 8 runs in the first inning.

The Bel Air Bobcats offense in the inning came from singles by Sean Roberts, Jack Lowry, CJ Cymek, and Noah Shillman, a triple by Sean Ferrell, and a double by Cayden Dennis. Bobcats opened up strong by scoring in the first inning. Sean Roberts drove in one run when he singled. #2 started the game for the hawks. The hurler went two-thirds of an inning, allowing 8 runs on 6 hits and striking out 1.

#6, #4 and #22 each provided a relief for the Hawks in the top of the first inning, helping Bel Air from scoring any more runs than they had. Bobcats ended up with 14 hits this game. Towle, Lowry, Cymek, Roberts, Ferrell all managed to get multiple hits.

The Bel Air Bobcats won 15-5 in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule. The mercy rule just means that you win by 10 after the fifth inning. The Bobcats moved to a 3-2 record after a loss to C. Milton on Friday, but are hopeful to continue their wins this week.
