Girls’ Volleyball Wins at Perryville

Girls’ Volleyball traveled to Perryville Last Friday where they defeated the Panthers in 4 sets.

The #9 Bel Air Bobcats Girls’ Volleyball Team (6-0) travelled to Perryville Last Friday where they defeated the Panthers in 4 sets (25-12, 21-25, 25-19, 25-8).  The offense was led by senior outside Megan Cassaday (7 kills, 1 ace), senior middle Anaiah Lewis (7 kills, 2 blocks), senior outside Lexi Bell (6 kills, 2 aces, 1 block), and senior right-side Jaydn Betters (5 kills, 9 aces, 2 blocks).

The Bobcats had strong serving from Betters, Bell, junior defensive specialist Megan Schindhelm (4 aces, 1 kill), Cassaday, sophomore setter/right-side Anna Kane (2 aces, 22 assists, 1 kill), and junior defensive specialist Maggie Tsomos (1 ace).  Junior setter Tia Pegler tallied 10 assists.  Other Bobcats chipping in included junior middle hitter Brooke Hopkins (3 kills), junior middle Keira Tyndall (1 kill), and freshman outside hitter Julie Stillwagon (1 kill, 2 blocks). The passing and defensive effort was led by Bell, Cassaday, and senior libero Brooke Keesey.

The Bobcats host two contests against conference rivals next week.  Tuesday, October 4 they square off against Fallston, and then turn around and play Bo Manor on Thursday, October 6, Varsity 5p / JV 3:30p.

The Bobcats have won 28 straight matches at home (starting in 2018).  They have won 29 straight UCBAC conference matches (starting in 2019).
