The Bel Air varsity cheer team snatched first place at the Patterson Mill invitational Tuesday October 8, 2019.

Twelve other varsity teams were scheduled to compete at this invitational. Amongst these twelve were Patterson Mill and Harford Tech, but Bel Air still came out on top.

The Patterson Mill invitational was the varsity team’s first competition of their fall 2019 season, and they were all super excited to find out that they had placed first.

“This was my first cheer competition and I am so happy to be a part of such an amazing team for my first year cheering,” exclaimed freshman Emily Carver!

Bel Air hopes to further improve their routine before their next competition on Saturday October 12 at Eastern Technical High School.

“Even though we hit at P-Mill, we still have a lot to work on before Eastern Tech where we’ll be competing with elite teams like Chesapeake,” said coach Gloria Carbaugh.

The team is very proud of themselves for showing everyone all that they’re capable of, and they are all super excited to see what this next competition has in store for them!
