On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, the Varsity Softball team played in another UCBAC game at Bel Air High School against Patterson Mill High School. The Bobcats fell to the Huskies by a score of 8-0.

Senior Kat Perea pitched for the Bobcats. Perea went seven innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits, while striking out eight and walking zero. Perea also led the Bobcats at the plate, going 2-3.

“After beating this team last week, I think we got too excited when we played them this time, and we thought we had it in the bag. We were playing on our field, but we just couldn’t play with our ‘A’ game,” says senior captain Kat Perea.

Then, on Wednesday, April 17, The Bobcats traveled to Rising Sun High School to play the Tigers. The Bobcats ended their week with a win, coming on top with a score of 4-3. Senior Kat Perea pitched for the Bobcats, who lasted eight innings and tallying eight strikeouts.

Leaders for this game included senior Kat Perea, going 2-4, junior Peyton Hale, and sophomore Emma Sanza, both going 1-3. With picture perfect defense, the Bobcats didn’t commit a single error, and allowed eight hits.

“Even though it took us eight innings to beat this team, we played very well in this game. Rising Sun always has great competition and we always know that we need to play our best to beat them,” says junior Peyton Hale.
