Bel Air Football Triumphs on Senior Night

On Friday, October 26, 2018 the Bel Air High School Football team took on the North Harford Hawks in an emotional Senior Night battle.

The Bobcats opened the night with a Senior Night ceremony recognizing the 26 seniors in the program. The seniors were escorted down the field by their family members.

The Bobcats opened the game up by scoring on their first possession with a 24-yard touchdown run to senior Sincere Montgomery and a successful extra point attempt by sophomore Darius Ashman making the score 7-0.

“I was excited but at the same time upset, because I knew it would be the last game that I would be strapped up at Bobcat Stadium,” said senior Noah Beyers when asked how he felt about the game against North Harford

However North Harford would keep the game close in the first half by keeping the Bobcats within 7 points. But this wouldn’t last because in the second half the Bobcats took over.

“We made a couple mistakes which allowed them to score on us, but we ended up fixing our mistakes and didn’t let it happen again” said senior Austin Hess when asked about the defense’s performance in the game.

The Bobcats finished the game with a score of 47-21 over the Hawks. The Bobcats are set to take on the Aberdeen Eagles on Friday, November 2 at Aberdeen High School.
