On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, the Bel Air Girls’ Volleyball team (9-1) played their biggest match of the year against Rising Sun (9-1). The Bobcats fell to the Tigers 3-0.
This game was huge for both teams. The winner of this game would be crowned the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference champions. Unfortunately, the Bobcats couldn’t keep up and lost the match with scores being 26-24, 25-22 and 25-19.

This game was also Bel Air’s Senior Night. Featured Seniors included Captains Megan Hoy and Erin Kenney, Brooke Myers, Radhika Patel and manager Caitlyn Magee.

“This was a really fun game to play,” says Senior Captain Megan Hoy. “We all knew the level of competition in this game, but we fell just short. Looking past the game, this was a great Senior Night, and I’m so grateful for all the people who put in their hard work to make it amazing”

Key players in this game were senior hitters Erin Kenney, Megan Hoy and Brooke Myers, senior libero Radhika Patel junior middle blocker McKenna Reiswig and junior setter Olivia Simon, and sophomore outside Maddie Reagan.

“Even though we lost this game and ultimately didn’t win UCBAC’s, I’m still really proud of the way we played today, and I even think this loss can make us an even better team, so we know the little things that we need to work on that will help us in the far run,” says Senior Captain Erin Kenney.
