Bel Air Football Wins Thrilling Homecoming Clash Against Mustangs

On October 4, 2018, the Bel Air Bobcats Varsity Football team beat the Fallston High School Cougars, 46-6 at Fallston.

For Bel Air, things went great from the start. Senior Hunter Hruz had three touchdowns in the first half alone. Senior Kade Ketcham also had a first half score. Fallston scored as well, but this still gave Bel Air a 26-6 lead.

“This was just a well-played game by the team as a whole.” said Senior Kade Ketcham

Bel Air didn’t stop their scoring at halftime, however. In the second half, the Bobcats offense kept moving. Junior Jaylen Reaves had a big second half, which included two touchdowns. Sophomore Brendan Purtell also scored a touchdown when he entered the game at quarterback for Senior Austin Rohlfing in the midst of the game.

The defense for the Bobcats was nothing short of superb. Other than Fallston’s lone scoring drive, Fallston had an extremely difficult time moving the ball thanks to the great defense from our Bobcats. The defense was led by stout Senior defenders Davon Bomar and Austin Hess.

“It was great to play a game like that and get the younger guys some more experience,” said Senior Jake Rolocut about the game.

It was a great conference win for the Bobcats, who will hope to continue these winning ways.
