Girls’ Volleyball Bounces Back With Win Over Patterson Mill

On Thursday, September 27, 2018, the Bel Air Girls’ Volleyball team played at Bel Air High School against the Huskies of Patterson Mill in another UCBAC conference game. The Bobcats swept the Huskies with a final score of 3-0.

After a big loss against Rising Sun, the Bobcats knew they’d have to get it together to get back on their win streak. Scores for this match were 25-13, 25-7 and 25-20.

Leading the Bel Air attack was Senior Brooke Myers with 11 kills and one block, Junior McKenna Reiswig with four kills and one block, and Junior Sarah Markland with eight assists.

“This was a good win for us to get after our loss,” says Markland. “I’m proud of the way everyone played tonight, and I think this was a great team win.”

Other key contributors to this game include junior Julianna Harden with 14 digs, Sophomore Maddie Reagan with three kills, Junior Olivia Simon with 10 assists, one block and one kill, and Senior Erin Kenney with two kills and one block.

“At this point, we’re around the halfway point of the season, and our team has come such a long way,” says Junior McKenna Reiswig. “Losing just one game is impressive, and we have so much more competitive volleyball to play”
