Football Fall to Warriors

On Friday September 28th, 2018, the Bel Air Bobcats Football team took on the Havre De Grace Warriors at Bobcat Stadium at 7:00pm.

The Bobcats came out hot by scoring on their second drive of the game with a 45-yard run by tight end Teddy Zaborowski. Darius Ashman nailed the extra point giving the Bobcats a 7-0 lead over the visiting Warriors.

“That play had always worked great in the past and defenses just don’t know how to stop it, so I had a pretty good feeling it was going to work” said Teddy Zaborowski on his touchdown run in Friday night’s conference game.

However, the Warriors returned with a touchdown of their own. A 35-yard pass to sophomore Jaylen Day followed by a successful extra point by Chandler Russo tied the score up a seven a piece.

The Warriors managed to get a field goal and another touchdown to increase their score to 17 while the Bobcats maintained their score of 7. The Bobcats were unable to spark their offense and could not find the endzone.

“If we would have been able to maintain the football and move the ball on their defense the outcome of that game would have been much different” says lineman Tommy Wilkins in response to Friday’s game.

The Bobcats are set to take on their rival, the CMW Mustangs on Friday October 12, 2018 at home for the 2018 Homecoming Game.
