Boys’ Soccer Shuts Out Walter Johnson 3-0

On Wednesday September 12, 2018 our Bobcat Boy’ Soccer team defeated the Walter Johnson Wildcats 3-0 at Bobcat Stadium.

The Boys’ Soccer team played a great game against the Wildcats, taking home a victory in what many thought would be a tough match for the Bobcats. The first goal was scored by Junior Andrew Argentieri. After not scoring in five games, this was a huge confidence booster for the team.

As the game continued, the team struggled to find the back of the net, but that all changed when Senior Ethan Lassen stepped up and gave the boys a 2-0 lead. Then, with 6 seconds left in the first half, Junior Emre Sipos scored to bring it to 3-0.

“This is the best I’ve seen us play all year. Now let’s not lose our heads the next half” a proud Coach Rose said in the locker room during halftime.

Both teams went scoreless in the second half, but the Bobcats were able to hold on to their 3-0 lead.

Coach Rose was disappointed with the second half but happy overall with the win, stating “If we play like we did in that first half of every game we will be unstoppable this year.”

The Boys’ Soccer team will hope to continue this momentum and take home similar victories as the season progresses.
