Softball Drills Home Two Wins

On Monday, April 30, 2018, the Bel Air Softball team traveled to Perry Hall High School to play the Gators. The Bobcats ultimately won in 9 innings with a score of 7-6.

At the plate, the Bobcats had 14 hits in the game. Leaders include Seniors, Hana Leftridge and Amanda Criss, Junior, Arianna Dramis, Sophomores, Peyton Hale and Maddie Bosley, and Freshmen, Emma Sanza, Dramis and Leftridge both had 3 hits each.

Erin Kenney stared on the mound for the Bobcats. Kenney gave up five runs on eight hits and struck out six. About halfway through the game, Senior, Amanda Criss pitched to end the game.

“This was a game that we definitely could’ve done better but I’m glad that we were able to pick each other up and pull out this win,” says Junior pitcher, Erin Kenney.

The next day, May 1, the Bobcats played another non-conference game against the John Carroll Patriots. The Bobcats won with a score of 7-1.

At the plate, the Bobcats tallied nine hits. Freshman, Abby Bannan and Junior, Arianna Dramis led the Bobcats with two hits each.

Senior, Amanda Criss pitched for Bel Air. Criss gave up just one run on four hits over seven innings. Criss also struck out 13 and walked zero. Over the whole game, the Bobcats committed no errors in the field.

“This was definitely the best game we’ve played this season. We did everything right, and I hope we can carry this with us in our future games,” says Senior pitcher, Amanda Criss.
