On Thursday, April 12 2018 Bel Air Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team played C. Milton Wright at Bobcat Stadium at 6:45pm. Bel Air won 9-8 after two overtime periods, winning goal made by Senior, Lauren Asher.

Maggi Hall led the Bel Air scoring with four goals, while Julia Henry and Grace Wehland added two each. Elizabeth Hillman had two assists, while others with assists were Asher, Gabi Hall and Keeley McHugh. Goalie Riley Patrick had eight saves at this game.

“This was a crazy game. We definitely shouldn’t have let them come back, but I think we did an amazing job of standing our ground and pulling out the win!” says sophomore, Ava Goeller.

This was a really tough game, but the girls never gave up. They talked and strategized to defeat the Mustangs. They played really well and gave it their all, as usual. Coach Barry kept the girls motivated and pushed them to get better and play smarter.

“I thought we played outstanding at this game. The first half we played great, offensively our chemistry was flowing and defensively we had some crucial stops. Even during C. Milton’s run, we stayed composed. Honestly, I didn’t realize I had four goals until after the game, but they were all fantastic looks by my teammates. All of them were assisted and well placed, very happy with me and my teams’ performance. Glad we caught the dub!” says sophomore, Maggie Hall.

C. Milton Wright was very aggressive and played rough. A handful of girls on our team got hurt and/or injured but they were still able to get past that and end with a win.
