On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the Varsity Softball team traveled to Perryville High School to play the Panthers. The Bobcats fell short by a score of 5-0.

After coming off with a win against North Harford, the Bobcats knew what they had to work on for their upcoming games of the week since they would play Perryville, Liberty and C. Milton Wright.

Senior, Amanda Criss pitched for the Bobcats and pitched a strong game. Junior, Hailey Lane made some big catches in the outfield to save some runs. Criss also stepped up with some big hits at the plate, but the Bobcats couldn’t keep up with the Panthers.

“This was a game that definitely could’ve been ours,” says senior pitcher, Amanda Criss. “There are a lot of things to be worked on, but we also did a lot of things right.”

Then, on Thursday, April 12, 2018, the Bobcats played another intense Game at Liberty High School. Bel Air ultimately won this game against the Lions after going into international tie breaker with a score of 25-16.

Leaders at the plate include Sophomore Peyton Hale with 3 homeruns, Senior Amanda Criss with a homerun, Junior Kat Perea with a homerun, and Senior Hana Leftridge with a homerun. Junior Erin Kenney and Senior Amanda Criss both pitched in this game to shut down the Lions in a hard fought game.

“We started out very slow in the beginning of the game, but I’m glad that we were able to come up with some clutch hits just in time to capture this win,” says sophomore outfielder, Maddie Bosley.
