On Monday, April 3rd, 2018, the Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team took on Rising Sun High School during the last day of spring break.

Bel Air came out to a disappointing first quarter going down 0-4 then finally turning themselves around towards half time. The defense got themselves together and the offense was possessing the ball more after half time.

Bel Air got it together and won 11-8, and while they took joy in their comeback victory, they put it behind them and went on to the next game.

Bel Air took on Shaker on Tuesday, April 4th, and came out to an outstanding first half, the defense was locked down and the offence was possessing for up to 4 minute at a time. Bel Air went up 4-0 by half time in a very exciting half of lacrosse. “We started off well, our defense had a great first half and the offense was really clicking.” Says Senior Midfielder Ryan Chan.

At half time Shaker made adjustments and tried to figure out our defense. Shake scored at the beginning of the half and made Bel Air’s defense flat. Shaker went on a 9-1 scoring run going up by 5 by the fourth quarter. Bel Air rallied in the fourth quarter but it was too little too late as the Shaker Blue Bison took the win back to New York, 10-7.

“You guys came out on fire then we had little run and your momentum died, no matter how the game is going you always have to be hype and play hard.” Says Shaker Senior attackman Luke Julien.

While this most recent loss was undoubtedly a tough one, The Bobcats will persevere and focus on their remaining games of the season.
