Girls’ Basketball Dunks Over Huskies for a Senior Night Victory

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, the Girls’ Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball teams played their Senior Night game against the Patterson Mill Huskies. Junior Varsity and Varsity both took home a win.

This was the last regular season game for Junior Varsity, and their last game for the whole year, so they knew they had to play their hearts out one last time. Once again, Freshmen, Cia Vlangas, Emma Sanza and Autumn Conway led their Junior Varsity team to a win with a score of 35-15.

During the Varsity game, leaders include Junior, Bailey Springer with 12 points and 5 rebounds, Senior, Julia Henry with 10 points and 2 assists, Senior, Elizabeth Hillman with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 8 assists, and Junior, Grace Wehland with 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.

“I’m so proud of the way our team played tonight. We had a fantastic season and I’m glad we could finish off the season with a win. I’m so excited for next year,” says Freshman, Emma Sanza.

This was the Senior Night game for the Varsity team. Seniors highlighted include Elizabeth Hillman, Julia Henry, Gabi Hall, Callie Cimino, and Kelley McHugh. The girls’ played a good game and won with a score of 57-22.

“This was such a successful Senior Night and I want to thank everyone who helped on behalf on all of the seniors on the team. I’m so glad our regular season ended this way and I can’t wait for playoffs,” says Senior, Julia Henry.
