Boys’ Swimming Compete at the HCPS Swimming Championships

On Thursday, February 8, 2018, the Bel Air High School Boys’ Swim Team placed third in the county at the HCPS Swimming Championships, finishing behind C. Milton Wright, and Patterson Mill High Schools. The Bobcats swam well and it showed based on what they achieved at the Boys HCPS Swimming Championships.

The Bobcats had a lot to be proud of, with Drew Gagnon and Zach Hricz placing fourth in the county in the Boys 100 Yard Freestyle. Also, Bobcat swimmer Xavier Kane placed fourth in the county in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Xavier Kane placed third in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, and the Boys 200 Yard Freestyle Relay placed first in the county!

“We swam as a team and I’m proud of everyone on my team for the work they have put in during this season, and I hope we can continue our success,” Said Varsity Swimmer Micah Ernest.

With a final team score of 567 points the Bobcats placed third in the county behind C. Milton Wright who placed first with 645 points, and Patterson Mill who placed second with 570 points. North Harford Placed Fourth behind Bel Air with 465 points.

“We swam great as a team,” said Varsity Swimmer Jacob Harris.
