Bel Air Ice Hockey Faces Rival Fallston on Friday

On Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, the Bel Air Ice Hockey team will play in their biggest game all season as they will face their rivals, the Fallston Cougars.

This year was a great year for the Bel Air team because even though they have been around for the past three years, they have never been a pure Bel Air team. They have always had kids from C. Milton and other schools on their team, but this year was the first time for that.

The Bobcats did have quite a rough season, going 2-8 in the regular season, but it’s only the beginning for this young team. Fallston on the other hand has had a little bit of a better season, going 4-4-2, but the Bobcats are convinced that they can top their rivals on Friday.

“Even though our record wasn’t that great, we are actually a solid team. We played a lot of great teams where we managed to hang with them. Fallston is a good team, but we know we can beat them.’’ said Team Captain, Evan Bergquist.

These two teams know each other pretty well because they practice with each other and some of them even used to play for Fallston before the Bel Air team even existed. Also, most of these players play with each other on their clubs teams.

“This game is especially going to be intense because we all know each other. We practice with Fallston and some us play with about half of them on our club teams. I believe it will be a close game because we all know our strengths and weaknesses.” states Team Captain Evan Bergquist.

Come out and support the Bel Air Bobcats on this Friday at 6:20 P.M. for Senior night!
