Swim Team Defeats Edgewood and Havre De Grace

On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, the Bel Air High School Swim team swam a meet against Edgewood and Havre De Grace High School.

On Wednesday the 10, the Bel Air High School swim team won another meet since their last meeting, which was scheduled for January 8 but postponed. Additionally, this was the first meet since the Winter break for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats were lead by strong performances from Micah Ernest, Nathaniel Hricz, Eliza Cohen and Xavier Kane. The Bobcats started the meet with two first place wins in both the girls, and boys 200-yard Medley relay, and continued their hot start all the way to the end of the meet.

“This was a great team effort all around, and I’m glad that we won another meet,” said Varsity Swimmer, Micah Ernest.

The Bobcats also had great standout performances from Maria Collins who placed first in the girls 100-yard Backstroke, and Sydney Mika who placed first in the girls 100-yard Freestyle. It was a great meet all around, and a lot Bobcat had great swims.

“This was another great night for us, and I am excited that we continue to win meets,” said Varsity Swimmer, Jacob Harris.
