Swimming Falls to C. Milton for First Loss of the Season

On Tuesday, December 19, 2017, The Bel Air Varsity Swim team lost for the first time this season to C. Milton Wright High School, at Magnolia Middle School.

On December 19, The Bel Air Varsity swim team, swam against rival school C Milton Wright. The Bobcats had some great performances despite the loss from Eliza Cohen, Becca Enter, Broxa Benesh, and Matt Weaver.

The Bobcats Started the night with the Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay, Bobcats, Matt Weaver, Stephen Cullinan, Nathaniel Hricz, and Zach Hricz placed second out of four teams. In the next event, the girls competed in the same event and Bobcats, Becca Enter, Sydney Mika, Eliza Cohen, and Broxa Benesh placed first out of five teams winning the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay. The Bobcats had great individual performances from Eliza Cohen who won the Girls 100 yard Breathstroke, and Matt Weaver who placed second out of six swimmers in the Boys 500 Yard Freestyle.

“We are always improving, and we are getting better every meet,” said Varsity Swimmer, Lilly Tsomos.

The Bobcats also had great performances from Becca Enter who placed first out of 6 swimmers in the Girls 200 Yard Freestyle. Becca Enter also placed first in the sixteenth event in the Girls 500 Yard Freestyle.

“We swam the best we could, and we are always trying to improve. This is only the second meet, we have a lot more left,” said Varsity Swimmer, Jacob Harris.

The Bobcats next meet will happen Monday, January 8, 2018, against Elkton, North Harford, and Patterson Mill. Come out and support your Bobcats as they continue their season.
