Girls’ Basketball Vanquishes the Vikings

On Monday, December 18, 2017, the Girls’ Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball team traveled to Mt. Hebron High School to play the Vikings. Both teams had successful games and secured another win.

The Junior Varsity team played their non-conference game at 5:30pm against the Vikings. They started and ended strong, and fought hard to contribute to this team win. The Lady Cats’ defeated Mt. Hebron with a score of 37-34.

At the Varsity game, the Bobcats were able to hold the lead for just about the entire game. Just like Junior Varsity, the Cats’ came in strong from start to finish. The score at halftime was 26-18, with the Bobcats in the lead.

“I think the Vikings played a very good game,” says Sophomore, Captain Ari Hammond. “This was a very good team win and I’m very proud of my team for how we played.”

With huge contributions from Junior, Bailey Springer, with 18 points, Junior, Grace Wehland, with 12 points, and Senior, Elizabeth Hillman with 9 points, the Varsity Lady Bobcats won with a score of 52-41.

“Our team did everything right during this game. We all fought hard and played with aggression,” says Junior, Bailey Springer, who went 6-6 at the free throw line.
