On Friday, November 3, 2017, the Bel Air Girls’ Soccer team played the section final playoffs against Edgewood High School. The Bobcats were able to take the win with a score of 3-0.

This was the section final in playoffs, meaning the winner of this game would advance to the regional championship. In the first half, neither the Rams nor the Bobcats were able to score a goal, making the halftime score 0-0

In the second half, Senior Lexi Kraemer, Senior Carolyn Doheny, and Sophomore Maggi Hall each scored a goal for the Cats, clenching the win for Bel Air with a score a 3-0.

“We’ve been looking really strong as a team lately,” says Sophomore attack, Maggi Hall. “We’ve worked extra hard these past few practices, and I’m very confident in us going even further in this tournament.”

Winning this game declared the Bobcats as section champions, and they will now play next for the regional title. This will also be the last 2017 season game on their home turf

“The team could not be any more excited to play in the regional championship game. Even though this will be a tough game, I know we can do it if we play like we have been,” says Senior defender, Gabi Hall.
