Field Hockey Falls to C. Milton in Playoffs

On Monday October 30th, 2017 The Bobcat Field Hockey Team was defeated by The C-Milton Wright Mustangs by a score of 0-2.

Although the Cats didn’t score this game, it was still a very intense, and tough matchup. After defeating Aberdeen for their first playoff round, The Cats went into their second playoff game hoping to continue with the same outcome.

Bel Air had already played the Mustang’s during the season, which was also a very intense fast paced game. Each team played to the best of their ability, but unfortunately the Cats came up short in double overtime. The girls were happy to play The Mustangs for a second time, hoping to make a comeback and be on top this time.

“A very sad ending to our season. We worked very hard as a team during the game, we just could not overcome. Not seeing the girls every day after school will be a big difference, and I will for sure miss everyone very much” says Junior, McKenna Reichard.

The Mustangs scored in the first half. With a score at half time of 0-1, the Bobcats were sure they could come back and tie the game up. With all the hope they had, they went into the second half fired up. Unfortunately, the Mustangs were able to score again, putting the final score at 2-0 for C. Milton

“As a team we never gave up. No matter the circumstances during the season we always put our best foot forward and kept our heads held high. We are not just a team, but a family that will always stick together” says Junior Megan Keller.

The Bel Air Field Hockey Team’s season has come to a disappointing end, leaving the girls heartbroken. The girls look forward to seeing you come out next year to support them as they take on the 2018-2019 school year.
